Single Team Member Profile Toggle Gilbert Benjamin Buckle,
Professional Bio:
Gilbert Buckle is a seasoned public health physician and international consultant with over 30 years of executive experience in both public and private health sectors across Ghana and Africa. He specializes in health systems strengthening, organizational development, and policy / strategy development and implementation.. He holds a medical degree (MBChB), a Master’s in Public Health and certifications in health systems, quality improvement, executive coaching and organizational development.

Gilbert has served as a technical advisor to global institutions including the World Bank, WHO, UNICEF, DFID, DANIDA, UNAIDS, GAVI, International SOS, and Catholic Relief Services. He has also provided technical and advisory support to the Ministries of Health in countries in East West and Southern Africa.

In his roles as CEO of the Korle bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH), Christian Health association of Ghana (CHAG) and the National Catholic Health Service (NCHS), all in Ghana, he has led comprehensive organisational transformations that significantly improved efficiency, financial performance, overall service quality, expanded access to health services and secured strategic international funding.

Gilbert continues to consult for ministries of health, local and international health organisations.

He serves as the Managing Partner at Globus Sante International, providing strategic support to drive sustainable impact in the health sector.

Charles Gerhardt,
Professional Bio:
Charles Gerhardt is a seasoned international development expert with over 40 years of experience as a practitioner, executive manager, management consultant, and process facilitator. He has worked with government agencies, research institutions, and private sector organizations in more than 25 countries across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

He gained extensive experience in business analysis, planning, intercultural management, public-private partnerships, and leadership development through roles such as representing the Netherlands Ministry for International Cooperation in Cameroon and Mali, and serving as International Programme Manager at the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT).

As an independent consultant, Charles focused primarily on the health sector. He managed an EU-funded €12 million health sector reform programme in Namibia, introduced a decentralized health service system in Egypt with the European Delegation, and led institutional reform efforts for the Christian Health Association of Ghana. He also supported the National University of Rwanda in establishing a regional centre of excellence for vaccine and supply chain management.

In addition to over 50 short-term assignments in organizational development and change management, he has conducted six institutional audits. Following retirement, he worked with PUM as a country coordinator and consultant, and currently serves as Programme Advisor West Africa at the Netherlands-African Business Council. He also serves on the board of HealthNet TPO.

With his years of experience he serves as senior advisor to Globus Sante International.

Sidua Hor,
Professional Bio:
Sidua Hor is a public health specialist with over 15 years of experience in health systems strengthening, monitoring and evaluation, policy advocacy, and programme implementation across Ghana and sub-Saharan Africa. He holds a Master of Public Health and a BSc in Agricultural Technology, and has worked with key institutions such as WHO, Ghana AIDS Commission, African Development Bank (AfDB), Catholic Relief Services, and Oxfam GB.

He has led and contributed to major initiatives, including developing Ghana’s National HIV/AIDS Strategic Plan, coordinating the Africa Civil Society Platform for Universal Health Coverage, and designing M&E systems for donor-funded programmes. As M&E Manager for AfDB’s Development of Skills for Industry Project, he led strategic planning and evaluations.

Sidua’s expertise spans research coordination, stakeholder engagement, budget analysis, and policy formulation. His consultancy work covers HIV/AIDS, maternal health, NTDs, and WASH. A skilled facilitator and public speaker, he is known for his commitment to equity, inclusion, and sustainable health outcomes.

Sidua brings his rich experience to support GSI in defining its strategic direction, program design and implementation.

Afua Boatemaa Owusu,
Professional Bio:
Afua Boatemaa Owusu is a public health physician and anaesthetist with over 11 years of experience spanning clinical care, public health, and health systems management. She holds advanced qualifications in Health Services Management from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, a Diploma in Anaesthesia from the West African College of Surgeons, and is a member of the West African College of Physicians (Community Health).

Afuahas led and supported numerous national public health initiatives in Ghana, working with the Ghana Health Service, Ministry of Health, UNAIDS, and WHO. Her work includes developing national quality strategies, conducting gender assessments of HIV responses, identifying gaps in HIV testing, and costing essential NCD interventions. She has coordinated technical working groups, led data analysis, and delivered high-level reports to inform policy.

She previously served as a Senior Medical Officer in Anaesthesia at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and has trained medical professionals in anaesthesia, public health, and biostatistics. Combining clinical knowledge with research and policy expertise,

Afua provides holistic, data-driven support to improve health outcomes.

Stephen Kwaku Bonnah,
Professional Bio:
Stephen Kwaku Bonnah is a pharmaceutical management expert with over 20 years of experience across Ghana’s public, private, and faith-based health sectors. He holds a BPharm and MBA from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from GIMPA-CIMG. His expertise spans rational medicine use, procurement, inventory management, regulatory compliance, and capacity building.

He successfully led the Pooled Procurement Programme for the National Catholic Health Services, generating GHS 12.5 million in savings across 109 facilities. As Superintendent Pharmacist for Sinopharm Ghana and Surgecare & Pharma Ltd, he ensured regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

Stephen currently directs the Ultra Pharmacy Assistant Training School and leads CPD training for over 1,000 pharmacists annually. He has worked with WHO, FDA Ghana, CHAG, and private health insurers on pharmaceutical consultancy and procurement initiatives.

At Globus Sante International, he provides strategic guidance to strengthen pharmaceutical systems and support sustainable healthcare delivery.

Maxwell Kwasi Ofori,
Professional Bio:
Maxwell Kwasi Ofori is a results-driven administrative and business development professional with expertise in operations management, client relations, and marketing. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Professional Studies and certifications in AI-Augmented Professional Development and Virtual Assistance, blending digital tools with strategic insight.

He has served as a Bancassurance/Marketing Officer at Republic Bank Ghana PLC, excelling in portfolio management, compliance, and business prospecting. He gained further experience in customer service and banking systems during his national service and internships.

Maxwell is also skilled in project supervision, event coordination, and multimedia logistics. His adaptability, attention to detail, and strong communication skills make him a valuable asset in delivering efficient and impactful public health consultancy services.

As Operations Manager at Globus Sante International, Maxwell oversees administrative systems, drives business development, manages financial and program documentation, and builds client partnerships. His proactive approach has enhanced communication flow, budget efficiency, and program quality.
